DINOSAUR PROVINCIAL PARK ALBERTA

DAY 16
26th August 2011  Friday
weather  fine and warm

We set off from Waterton to Dinosaur Provincial Park this morning.  Stopped off at Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump a world heritage site.  Was very interesting nice walk unusual cliff in the middle of the prairies, where the Indians stampeded the buffalo over the cliff to fall to their death so they could butcher them for food.

Black bear as we were leaving waterton

Went through Lethbridge had a look at Fort MacLeod.  Lunch and shopping then on to Dinosaur Provincial Park.  What a sight you are going through the prairies then you come to the bad lands which has been washed out quite a ways down amazing rock formations and found a lot of dinosaur fossils (not us ,  many moons ago haha)
