Arrived at Possum Park. Nice rustic bush camping area. Great for families.

DAY 2 - 4TH APRIL 2018 CHARLEVILLE
Woke up to cool fine morning. It would be very pretty here after rain as there are lots of little waterfalls (dry at the moment).
Morning tea at Mitchell. The roads have been a little bumpy but have improved after Mitchell.
Have arrived at Charleville we are staying at Bailey Bar Caravan Park a nice spot. We went to the Bilby Experience very cute just 3 months old and left their mothers pouch. They could run very fast.!

DAY 3 - 5TH APRIL 2018 CHARLEVILLE
Awoke earl this morning so had a leisurely breakfast then went to see Angellala Bridge explosion.
A truck in 2014 was carrying 53 tonnes of ammonium nitrate caught fire and exploded taking out the road and railway bridge. The explosion was heard 30km away. Amazing no one was killed.

DAY 4 - 6TH APRIL 2018 QUILPIE
At Channel Country Caravan Park. Still very hot here in the afternoons had the trusty Air Con working.
We have had a look around town, Mural Park, War Museum, Opal Alter in St Finbars Catholic Church, The Old Power Station and sunset at Baldy top lookout.
We will have to make another trip out here to go fossicking for Opals .
