2015 OUR TIME AT QUIRINDI

2015 13th March ON OUR WAY TO QUIRINDI FRIDAY

We left Highfields about 6 am and travelled through Moree arriving at Quirindi about 2pm. Had a
good trip not much traffic and fine weather.

AT QUIRINDI 14TH MARCH TO 8TH APRIL 2015

We had a lovely time with Mum, she is very well in her 105th year. We spent our time going for walks around the river a trip to Nundle and Willow Tree and just hanging out.

LIGHTNING RIDGE 8TH APRIL - 10TH

Lightning Ridge was different very dry.  The Caravan Park there was good. We went and saw Chambers of The Black Hand, which was an Opal Mine with many sculptures on the walls, was very interesting finding out how they found the opals. We also visited Bevans Cactus Gardens they where interesting and some very nice  and big cactus there. We visited Kangaroo Hill which was a collection of memorabilla  with this interesting old lady running it who told us her life story!

ST GEORGE 10TH APRIL 2015

We travelled from Lightning Ridge to St George today, passing through Dirranbandi. The country side improved greatly as we got closer to St George.
