SUNDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2014 HONG KONG

Departing Brisbane for Canada via Hong Kong . Arrived at Hong Kong 7.30am, took airport express train to Kaloon then taxi to Stanford Hotel, left our bags there, then caught the tram up to The Peak.  A very steep line up the mountain, great view.

Hong Kong

We had a lovely walk through Hong Kong Park. Nice fountains and small ponds with fish and turtles sun baking on the rocks, a very peaceful place to get away from the everyday rush.  Hong Kong is very crowded with a lot of ugly high rise apartment buildings.  Came back to the Hotel after lunch to check in and have a rest.  The hotel is nice and clean with breakfast included.

MONDAY 13TH OCTOBER 2014 HONG KONG

Have had breakfast and a walk now just waiting until the Hotel shuttle arrives to take us to the train to go to the airport. (11-45am)

When coming from the airport yesterday we saw a lot of barges in the harbour and building going on.
Still a lot of student protesting going on with some streets still barricaded off. We saw very long orderly single file cues for the buses this morning on our walk.
