16th AUGUST 2013

Our flight to Paris was good arriving at Charles de Gaul Airport. Was a large area to find your way around involved a few trips up and down escalators before we found our way to the bus to take us into Paris. The train from the airport was not running today.  Had quite a walk to the train station to get the train to Gar du Nord and a short walk to Gare du Nord Suede only we took the long way around the block. Our room was OK small but clean and has a bathroom. Exhausted lay down on the bed and crashed out.

We went to the  Eiffel Tower by train to get the cruise boat on the Sein then on to Notre Dame, we didn't go inside because the waiting line was too long, so explored the surrounds instead.

Notre Dame is burning down 17/04/2019. Regret not going inside to have a look now 800 years old hope they will be able to save something so sad.
